Pre-Season or Biomechanics Assessment
Preparing your body for sport is a really important way to ensure that you achieve the best performance as well as to PREVENT injury. There is no better cure for injury than prevention itself. You can avoid time spent on the sideline and in Physio and rehab if you properly prepare your body for action. This assessment is also beneficial for those entering the work force, or changing to a more physical job.
Our assessment will look at your overall condition, including: - Discussion of your goals/sport/work situation - Joint range of movement - Muscle length/flexibility - Core strength - Muscle strength, endurance and function - Gait pattern during walking/jogging * - Balance
Following the assessment, we send you a report of our findings and any recommendations that we have You will also receive a 6 week App-based Programme to help kick start you in the right direction. Your programme will be specific to your goals and needs. You will have pictures or videos of the exercises within the App for your guidance at home
Please note * This assessment does not allow time for running through your programme, your access will be emailed to you following the appointment. If you would like to book a run-through of your programme, please ask your Physio * We do perform a basic gait analysis, however based on our findings, if we believe that a more comprehensive assessment is required or we think orthotic input is needed, we will make referral recommendations
