Our Massage Therapist is qualified with the NZ College of Massage Therapy and has extensive experience working alongside Physiotherapists to manage pain, tension and support injury rehabilitation.
Benefits of Therapeutic Massage Therapy - Improve blood flow to muscles in spasm - Reduce pain and muscle spasm/tension - Improve range of movement - Allow muscles to activate better (when muscles are tight it is harder to strengthen them) - Reduce tension in over-used muscles - Maintain good muscle condition on days off training, improving performance - Encourage healing of muscular injuries (under instruction from our Physios)
What to expect in our sessions: - 30 minute Sessions & 45 minute Sessions are available. - Our 45 minute sessions allow thorough treatment of specific areas and ensures that your body is not over-treated in any one session - If you are needing whole body treatment, we recommend you book this in two separate sessions to allow your body to cope and replenish - Warmed, private treatment room - Professional sessions catered to your needs - Notes taken (confidentially) so that we remember details of your specific problem areas and can give you the best outcomes - You may feel some tenderness after your session for 24-48 hours. This should ease and feel much freer afterward however you may like to use a hot wheat pack, bath and gently stretch to help it settle more quickly - Liaison with our Physiotherapists with your permission where needed - Please wear flexible clothing and expect that in some cases you may need to remove clothing (keeping underwear on). You will be given towels for privacy.
